Efficacy of tailored recommendations to promote healthy lifestyles: a post hoc analysis of a randomized controlled trial

Abstract Prevention is the key to stopping ravages of cardiovascular diseases, main cause death worldwide. The objective was analyze efficacy tailored recommendations promote healthy lifestyles. Parallel-arm randomized controlled trial with 1 year follow-up. Individuals aged 35–74 years from Girona (Spain) randomly selected a population no diseases at baseline were included. Participants in intervention group received brochure choices according individual risk profile and trained nurse explained all detail 30 min consultation.
